AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): Krishak Sangram Parishad has placed a deputation to the SDM Sadar over farmers' issue.
The farmers alleged that in Sadar under Srinagar area massive deforestation is going on but no farmer was given any prior notice for that. The Government also has no plan to compensate the farmers.
Krishak Sangram Parishad has called the move of the State Govt as "Undemocratic", "Inhuman".
Over 100 kani of lands have been brought under deforestation.
The decision came just 1 week after CM Biplab Deb was heard criticizing Left Govt for expanding rubber plantation and destroying jackfruit plants which is his favourite fruit. However, the BJP in the Vision Document promised about robust rubber industrialization.
