AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): Reportedly, a man named, Litan Malakar, residing at Kathaltali Madhuban area received a call over phone on Tuesday at around 3:00 pm over vehicle booking from Vidyasagar, Katashala to Indrangar at 7pm, accordingly Litan with his car reached to the spot at said time and said destination. But after reaching to the spot around 10-15 miscreants gheraoed Litan and was started demanding money by showing sharp weapons, also his mobile was snatched so that he cannot contact with anyone. Seeing no way out of fear Litan requested the miscreants to return back his phone to inform his wife to bring Cheque book.

On getting information of being kidnapped his wife rushed to the spot with cheque book where the anti-socials demanded around Rs 1.5 lakhs, also took sign on agreement paper, as if cheque bounce the anti-socials can go further legal process by showing the ‘Agreement Paper’. The anti-socials taken gold chain from Litan, later around 11:30 Pm last night Kidnapped Litan somehow escaped from anti socials net.

A case was filed at Srinagar PS against the anti-socials, among them victim  identified two as Sanjib Saha and Subhajit Majumder and demanding exemplary punishment as such incidents can happen with anyone else, said the victim Litan.

According to victim all the anti-socials were in intoxicated condition.
