AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): Road turned into death trap in rural area at Kadamtali in North District, but even after repeated complaints lodged about the dilapidated road, it was not repaired. It has become now difficult to cross the 6-7km road due to terrible shape.

Locals informed PWD several times and requested the authority to repair the dilapidated road but the department has not taken any initiative. 

Moreover Kadamtala Panchayat Office, Veterinary Hospital, Private English Medium School and other government institutions are located on the side of the road. As a result of the dilapidated condition of the road, minor and major road accidents have become common occurrences on this road.

The local people of the area warned, if the concerned department does not take the initiative to repair the road then they will organize a larger movement in the coming days.
