Guwahati, December 21 (TIWN): Mizoram would draw additional power from neighboring Tripura's OTPC Palatana Plant from today which would continue till January 2, 2015 according to Superintending Enginee,Superintending Engineer of the Mizoram State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC). Mizoram used to share its power quota with Tripura during Durga Puja,Tripura shared its power quota with Mizoram during Christmas and New Year festivities.
He said that the additional power from Tripura would be drawn from 3 pm and 12 midnight everyday for 13 days at an average of 14 MW per day.
He expressed that with the additional power supply from Tripura, the Christian-dominated state would have sufficient power during its most important festival. For information Mizoram used to share its power quota with Tripura during Durga Puja, Tripura shared its power quota with Mizoram during Christmas and New Year festivities.
