AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): Trinamool has started a weeklong Rakhi Bandhan festival in Tripura whereas BJP supporters have already started physical attacking warnings openily in social media against Trinamool for organizing Rakhi-Bandhan festivals. Today, Trinamool entered the police stations of Tripura and tied Rakhi on the wrist of the police personnel including female police personnel. The Trinamool members requested police to save the Trinamool members from all attacks. Talking to media, a Trinamool leader said that the Rakhis were sent by All India Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee and as it is not possible to reach all the places of Tripura in 1 day, so the programme will be weeklong. Trinamool targets first to complete the Rakhi Bandhan ritual with the personnel who are serving the state 24X7 like police personnel, security employees, hospital staff. Also, common men, poor people, and women were tied with Rakhis. The Rakhis are carrying Mamata Banerjee's photo but when Trinamool distributed Rakhis among Govt employees, only the national flag was in the design in place of Mamata Banerjee's photo. The programme has started amid BJP led brutal attacks on Trinamool party workers throughout the state.
