AGARTALA, Aug 21 (TIWN): BJP leaders allegedly forced a CPI-M worker to Confess Crime, which he never committed . Man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in a theft incident at a shop. The incident took place in Amjad Nagar area under Belonia PS.
The victim arrested man has been identified as Nayan Basu
Reportedly, theft incident occurred in a grocery shop in Amjad Nagar area on last Wednesday and centering the theft incident Nayan Basu, a mason by profession was handed over to Police by ruling party’s local leaders without any evidence.
The victim Nayan Basu is currently under Belonia PS custody.
The victim alleged that he has been arrested in a fabricated case for supporting CPI-M party.
He alleged local people called him in the name of an arbitration meeting and when he went to the meeting local leaders stabbed him in the finger to get a confession that he had committed theft.
Victim Nayan, alleged the local leaders’ pierced needle to his hand and iron rod was heated to put on his body to force him to confess the crime which he never committed.
