AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): The CPI-M party has protested against the barbaric attack on CPI-M leader Dilip Das which took place yesterday in Bamutia. CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das led the protest rally in Agartala city.

The attack incident took place at Shanti Para Bamutia yesterday evening. Dilip Das is the Tafashili Jati Samannoy Samiti Vice President and a popular leader in Mohanpur division.

During the attack, observing the disturbance, local people rushed to save him. Seeing the crowd, the BJP patronized miscreants escaped from the spot. His driver has narrowly escaped from major injuries. 

Nobody was arrested in this connection yet.
