AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): On 75th Independence Day, BJP bike gangs allegedly held an attack on Trinamool vehicle in South Tripura. The party has organized various programmes statewide on 75th Independence Day and in Sabroom also, the programme was observed but while returning from the programme, the BJP bike gang suddenly held an unprecedented attack in the vehicle of Trinamool. Their car was vandalized and many people were injured. Staffs who were with the Trinamool leaders were also arrested. On that attack MP Dola Ghosh and Aparupa Poddar were also injured. The incident was witnessed by locals and also police. On the other side, journalists were attempted to be stopped from taking byte from Trinamool leaders in a hotel and also there are allegedly pressure on Trinamool leaders to leave the hotels in Agartala.

This is not the first attack on Trinamool in Tripura but on August 2nd, August 7th, there were brutal attacks on the Trinamool activists.   

On the 75th Independence day, police arrested Congress activists in Belonia who were just 11 persons in number and organized a small rally with Indian flags in hand.  

Reacting over the Sabroom attack on Trinamool Congress, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar straightly commented, "India got independence before 75 years but people of Tripura are not free yet. They have no independence as the BJP Govt has snached their free voice". 

Around 30 people were involved in this attack incident, alleged Trinamool.
