BELONIA, Aug 13 (TIWN): There is no boundary wall at the dumping station in ward No-7 of Municipal Council adjacent to ITI College Satmura, Balonia.
All the garbage in the city of Belonia is being dumped by the municipal council in Ward-7 resulting locals are suffering massively. Several times the locals have complained but the locals did not get any solution of this problem, as a result, the locals have to live in this fragrant area.
Besides, the students of ITI College are unable to take classes due to the smell of dirty garbage. More complaints from locals that many people in the area are getting sick due to this stench. Meanwhile, another allegation is raised that a cow worth one lakh rupees in the area came to the dumping station and died after eating garbage. Centering this anger has been noticed among the locals.
The Government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan remains only in words not in action. Due to the negligence of the responsibilities of the Municipal Council of Belonia, the people residing in Ward No-7, their sufferings continue.
