AGARTALA, Aug 12 (TIWN): The Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised *'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Cycle Rally '* for the students of Government Degree College, Udaipur, who covered a distance of approximately 40 km on Udaipur to Agartala Highway, Tripura on 12 Aug 2021.
The cycle rally was flagged off by Mr Anorodha Roy, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Udaipur, Tripura. A total of 30 students participated in the event to mark the upcoming 75th Independence Day.
The event aimed at instilling patriotism among the students and the local populace. This initiative and goodwill gesture of the Assam Rifles was highly appreciated by locals and civ authorities.
