AGARTALA / KAMALPUR, Aug 12 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has criticized the BJP Govt for continuous attacks on the Left and Opposition figures in this state by BJP miscreants.
He met CPI-M leader Ranjit Ghosh at his Kamalpur home who was admitted in TMC Hospital, Hapania and was released on Sunday.
While talking to the media, Manik Sarkar said, "The young BJP workers who had beaten him up are very young to him. Ranjit Ghosh is from their grandfather's home. The programme of CPI-M youth wings led by DYFI, TYF was going on across the state. In Kamalpur also, the same protest programme was held ? Ranjit Ghosh did not attend the protest".
"There is not a single when Communists are not attacked in Tripura. If anyone thinks that by attacking Communists their voice can be suppressed then s/he is wrong. Communists are born out of blood. It was communist who pushed the Freedom movement of India with slogans of "Purna-Swaraj". One Communit's blood will create many Communists", said Sarkar.
