AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): The unofficial emergency which is evidently going on in Tripura since 2018 was demonstrated once again when unemployed youths were forcefully arrested and police brutality was witnessed in the heart of the capital city Agartala. Many of the agitating nurses are working in Covid period voluntarily but when they demanded regular recruitment or regularization as no recruitment was held in the last 5 years, police arrested all of them saying they did not take permission from the Police. It is well known that Tripura police don't give permission in 99% rallies which are critical to the Govt and only the BJP party gets all permission for programmes or in other words, BJP does not need any permission in Tripura to organize rallies. Centering these issues, many times many sections of people knocked the High Court and police repeatedly faced embarrassments but this undemocratic practice of biased role plays by police was never modified.
Nursing unemployed youths have strongly criticized police for their arrests amid they are working voluntarily in the Covid crisis. Few unemployed youths broke down in tears after police forcefully arrested them.
BJP before the election had promised 50,000 Govt Jobs in permanent posts in 1-Year in Tripura but in the last 3.5 years BJP Govt could not give even 3,000 jobs in regular posts.

Centering BJP's massive failure in fulfilling promises given in Vision Document, now all types of protests and voices are attempted to be suppressed with police threats, arrests and tortures. Today's incident is just one of the examples of undemocratic governance under Biplab Deb.
