AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): Khowai Police arrested the TMC activists after keeping them the entire night in Khowai PS. Police arrested TMC activists with non-bailable warrant and the arrest has been done instead of detaining BJP miscreants, who held an attack on Ambassa road by Pelting stone.

Releasing the detained TMC activists AITUC GS Abhishek Banerjee, Bratya Basu, Kunal Ghosh, Dola Sen and other heavy weight TMC leaders stepped in at Khowai PS. After Abhishek Banerjee entered Khowai PS, tense situation generated as the BJP activists gheraoed the PS and raised slogan ‘Go Back Abhishek Banerjee’.

Sudip Raha, who received severe injuries on head after BJP’s violent attack on Ambassa road was not even taken to local hospital. 

Meanwhile, Debangshu Bhattacharjee, youth activists of TMC today morning told media that Police have arrested the victims not the attackers, who organised attacks in groups. 

Abhishek Banerjee also hit Biplab Deb for making arrests of the Trinamool activists instead of BJP who attacked them yesterday.
