AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Huge quantities of single-use plastic items were seized from Agartala market places. Shop-keepers and the customers using plastic bags were fined.

The joint raid was conducted by the Municipal Corporation, SDM Office, State Pollution Control Board and Police.

Talking to an official, he said, "Action will be initiated against the offender and seized items will either be confiscated or destroyed".
