AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Many students left injured in police brutality today in Agartala after they gheraoed Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's residence. The students have been protesting statewide since the TBSE Madhyamik result was declared. In Tripura neither Pre-Board nor main Board examination were taken properly but 25% students were declared failed, but the resentment erupted as many students allegedly were declared passed even after scoring less but the students who passed in school exams, many were declared failed. With this allegation, students demanded that all students should be passed as this year no class, no exam was held. Amid statewide protests continuing, a group of students gathered at Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's home on Tuesday morning. They wanted to meet the Education Minister and for this purpose, they also had called the Minister requesting him to meet them but after that suddenly police started brutality on them and forcefully started arresting the students and the tussle with police left many students injured.
Now the question arises, whether students' protest rights have also been snatched in Tripura under Biplab Deb Govt ?
