AGARTALA, Aug 1 (TIWN): Villagers refused to get vaccination as they believe after jabs it will bring harm to them.

Later, SDM of Jirania held a meeting with local guardians and other officials, appealed them to complete the vaccination drive in the area.

In Maragpara of Dhupchara ADC village total 350 villagers are residing and among 350, total 150 villagers yet not vaccinated as the villagers disagreed to be vaccinated, as they believe after getting vaccinated they may get ill.

Jirania SDM Jiban Krishna Acharjee requested the villagers to be vaccinated as it will not harm anyone.  Besides this SDM said for this vaccination drive he will appoint volunteers in the Maragpara area and within 2 days the villagers will be vaccinated. He also added  that no Covid Positive patient traced in the area in the 2nd Wave.
