BELONIA, Aug 1 (TIWN): 12 shops were burnt into ashes at Shibpur Bazar, Belonia.

This incident has caused a loss of around Rs. 14 lakhs in total. The incident took place in an ADC Village Shibpur under Hrishyamukh.

The cause of the fire could not be known and the locals have alleged that it might be a work done by the miscreants to create a disturbance in the area.

The Fire Brigade team rushed to the spot as soon as the officials were informed about the fire incident but nothing could be saved. All items kept in those shops were burnt.

Administration has assured to help the loss-facing businessmen as per Govt regulations.
