AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): NCC Police seized 400 kg dry cannabis from a lorry. The dry cannabis were kept inside sack registered No- JK02A06075 while being trafficking.

Based on secret information under the leadership of NCC sub-divisional police officer Pia Madhuri Majumder, a search took place in a 10 wheeler parked lorry.

The lorry was parked at Khayerpur bypass road and consequently police recovered 400kg dry cannabis from the lorry.

The price of dry cannabis is estimated at Rs 50 lakh. Later, the police brought the lorry to NCC PS. 

It is suspected the huge amount of dry cannabis was being taken to Jammu and Kashmir but however, after interrogation the details will be known.

Police booked the driver under NDPS Act.
