AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): With the increasing numbers of COVID positive cases, Tripura police and administration are getting more strict in terms of maintaining rules and regulations.On Sunday, Tripura West PS, police have organised a campaign against the public who roam without masks. Police have charged Rs 200 fine to those who were found without masks. The mask enforcement drive was carried out under the leadership of DCM.
Addressing to media Srikanta Chakraborty, Sadar DCM said, “We are here for mask enforcement drive and observing a less percent of public are roaming without masks. We are concerning the public about the transmission of Covid-19 virus and also we are imposing fines on public who roams without mask”
However, on one side the workless and income-less situation hit the state and on the other side imposing Rs 200 fines have become heavy on public.
