AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): In brutal lynching incident, where 3 civilians were murdered brutally by mob, not a single arrest was done by Tripura police. In protest, Congress had staged a protest in front of the Police Headquarter and demanded resignation of Chief Minister Biplab Deb. Talking to media, a Youth Congress leader said, "As you know at North Maharanipur under Teliamura public have killed 3 persons but till now police have not arrested a single person. Not even anyone was detained which can not be tolerated. We demand the criminals should be taken under custody because such lynching culture was not in Tripura earlier. Only in the BJP led states like Uttar Pradesh such incidents are happening. Recently, a man was killed in Ramnagar 7, Kalikapur in lynching. This is the condition of law and order in Tripura". The Congress leaders met the DGP also to discuss the matter. 

Yesterday, 3 persons were lynched to death in Tripura in suspicion of cow-thieves by the public.  The incident took place in Telimaura's North Maharanipur, under Mungiakami PS.   

Reportedly, locals had tied the youths with rope and beaten them up seriously, hit on their head also. Consequently, they became seriously injured and admitted in GB hospital.
