TIWN June 19, 2021

AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains with thunderstorms. A warning message has been issued in several states in the North East, including Tripura.
Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kph) very likely to occur at isolated places over the north-eastern part. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the incursion of moisture from the Bay of Bengal onto Northeast India will continue due to the strengthening of lower-level southwesterly winds, effectively producing fairly widespread to widespread rains over the region during the next few days.
Assam and Meghalaya will be in for isolated heavy to very heavy falls for the next two days, while the likes of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will experience isolated heavy showers.
