JIRANIA, June 18 (TIWN): Drug trafficking goes rampant in Tripura amid Police's continuous efforts to curb it. On Friday, Over 20,000 Yaba tablets were seized by Police at 10.30 AM from a vehicle though the driver had managed to escape. Police were informed through a secret source about the drug-trafficking and were prepared about the vehicle's pass. Talking to media, SDPO Suman Majumder said, "It was a joint move by Khowai police and West Dist police and during the drive a vehicle bearing number TR01Z 0623 (Bolerao car) was seized near Sadhubari naka at Champabari. Huge amount of Yaba Tablets were seized from the vehicle. However, nobody was found in the vehicle but everything will come out after investigation. Police have started investigation in this drug recovery case".
