AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): 2 thieves were caught red-handed while fleeing after stealing mobile phone from Radhanagar area, a bike was recovered from the thieves.

A local said in the last 15 days almost 4-5 theft cases occurred in Radhana Nagar area near Saha Varieties but the locals could not catch the thieves.

Few days back in the same area thieves were caught with Rs 51,000 in broad daylight from a house.

Today, while the two thieves were fleeing after stealing a mobile, they were caught red handed by locals and handed over to the police.

A bike registered No- TR01AP4538 was recovered from the thieves. Reportedly a woman was also involved in this theft incident.

Locals also said the two thieves are involved with other illegal trades.
