AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): Acting on a tip-off, Sundartila Police held 9 drug dealers red-handed from Meghaliband tea garden in Simna and seized 600 SP tablets worth Rs. 1.5 lakh.

Based on secret information, the police force led by Pritimoy Chakma, an official of Sundartila outpost, conducted a raid in Meghaliband tea garden yesterday. The drug mafia of the area was also caught in handcuffs with cannabis and tablets. The 9 peddlers lived in the border area.     

The arrested youths are being interrogated and a case has been registered under the NDPS act and the culprits will be produced at the court, the officer informed.
