AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Massive clash erupted between BJP and Tipra Motha party on May 5, while the Tipra Motha members were running the Swachhbharat campaign in Gaburchhara ADC Village and Gaburchhara Bazar of Rishyamukh block and On the other hand, BJP followers gathered at Rishimukh in the name of giving regular demand to the panchayat.

Several members were injured during the clash. The BJP party office was vandalized. Following this, both the parties filed a case against each other at Bilonia PS. However, the police registered the case against Tipra Motha over the incident under sections 148/149/448/326 and 307 of the IPC. Case No. 41/2021 was filed against 11 Tipra Motha activists. 

In connection with the incident, the Bilonia police arrested Sajal Das from Gabuchhara on Friday night and produced him at court today. The Bilonia court remanded him in custody until June 17 and ordered police to submit a case diary to the court within seven days.
