Huge quantity of cannabis recovered by Teliamura police : Driver detained

AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): At Hawaii Bari checkpoint under Teliamura PS the police have recovered 53 packets containing 736 kg of cannabis from a lorry numbered, WB 41 F 5167.
The market value of the seized cannabis is assumed of over Rs. 1 lakh. The driver named, Sitaram Yadav was detained. The lorry was about to be driven from Agartala to the outer state for cannabis smuggling.
However, police said they are still trying to find the link to the smuggling racket.
