AGARTALA, June 9(TIWN): 51 year old died on spot while the woman tried to connect hook line with an electric pole. The incident took place in Barapathri West Pimpriakhla area under Rajnagar assembly, Belonia.
The demised woman has been identified as Taru Pal Das, 51 years old. It is known, after returning home from REGA work at around 11pm on Wednesday, she went to connect the hook line with Electric pole and died on the spot due to a short circuit.
After hearing Taru’s screaming a housewife next door to her rushed to the spot and was informed of the demise’s daughter and the Police. It is known that one year ago electricity work was done in her house but the connection from the electric department was not given to her house.
Unlike every day while she was connecting the hook line with electricity she comes in contact with electricity and died on the spot Upon receiving the news, the police of PR Bari police station rushed to the spot. Police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to the morgue of Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital for an autopsy.
