AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Normal lives were heavily disrupted due to water logging problems after few splashes of rain at Ward No-3, Belonia Municipal Council.
Due to lack of drainage system the houses near the river have submerged after few splashes of rain at Ward No-3 in Belonia. Almost 10-12 families are residing at the area, but locals alleged after few flashes of rain their house goes under water as there is no drainage system.
A local claimed the 10-12 families residing at the area have been facing such water logging since the left era. The BJP govt came into power but the present govt also remains blind as no initiative has been taken to resolve the issue.
With angst locals claimed despite informing repeatedly many times to the Municipal Council to build a new drainage system, the concerned department took no initiative to build a drainage system in the area. If immediately the water logging matter not solved then it would be impossible to stay at home, claimed the locals in front of the media.
Local people demanded a drainage system should be built immediately to stop the water logging in the area. Now it remains to be seen whether the local’s water logging difficulties would be solved immediately or not.
