AGARTALA, December 15 (TIWN): As soon as the Supreme Court granted state govt's appeal of the Interlocutory Appeal giving a stay order on High Court's judgement in the termination of 10323 teachers on 31st December, State Govt as well as the ruling party took it as a means to increase its party fund.
Quite inhumanly the ruling party is learnt to have instructed its employees' wings - HB Road- to come out whole heartedly raising the ' voluntary subscription'(?) from the terminated teachers. Now a new campaign is being made ," As the Supreme Court has given a stay order , it is indicative that the state govt is on the edge. And to protect the state govt's decision to fight against HCs order, a huge amount of fund will be needed. Thus, all the teaching fraternity having faith in HB Road's ideal should respond positively to the appeal made by the govt."
According to TIWN sources several meetings had already been held at the state level and the outcome of such meetings is that state govt is behind the 10323 teachers and for the interest of saving their own jobs teachers must donate generously to the TGTA (H B Road). Already subscription had been collected in three phases- Rs 1500/- from PGT, Rs-1000/- from GT and Rs500/- from UGT as per Melarmath instruction. More importantly , not only the terminated teachers but also the other employees of the state govt should respond promptly. It is learnt from a highly placed H B Road leaders that few crores has already been collected from State Govt employees.
