AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Tripura Private Transport Workers Union held a press conference at Chandrapur ISBT Hall and discussed TPTWU’s various demands.

In this present pandemic situation Rs 5000 should be provided to transport workers every month. To be vaccinated to the transport workers family, to stop the penalty based on invalid documents of vehicles until this pandemic situation normalises. Also demanded those transport workers who took loans from various organisations, the government should take steps to abeyance instalments.

If any transport workers died while trying to cope with the situation of Covid 19 then Rs 10 lakhs should be given as financial help and Rs 5 lakhs should be given if any transport workers received physical loss. Harassment of vehicle workers during traffic by all transport offices and traffic officers should be stopped.
