AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): A dead body of a young man was recovered from an abandoned shop at Melaghar Motor Stand in Sonamura sub-division on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Rati Mohan Das, 30 years old, resident of Kemtali Vaidya Mura area of Melaghar. He is a day labourer by profession. It is learned that Melaghar police recovered the deceased man, Rati’s body from Dulal Mia's abandoned shop at Melaghar Motor Stand.
Manju Das, the wife of the deceased, said he had not been in touch with his family for many years.
Meanwhile, according to eyewitnesses, the young man died after not being able to eat for few days as he used to eat from hotels and due to Corona curfew Melaghar hotels have been closed for the past few days
The man, Rati died as for the past 3-4 days he was not able to eat due to closed hotels in Melagarh.
Later it was informed to Melaghar PS, police came and recovered the dead body and sent it to the hospital for an autopsy.
