AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): While everyone was sleeping soundly at midnight, a massive fire broke out in the Jagatpur area mysteriously on Monday.
Feeling the heat of the fire, the locals woke up, and being unable to put off the fire, they informed the local fire service. Though the fire service personnel reached the spot on time, yet it took several minutes to start their operation as they could not pass due to the cars parked on the road.
A local named Kishor Debbarma’s house completely burnt in the incident and fortunately, his son, Rakesh Debbarma was not at home that night so he was saved from an accident.
A shop with two houses and a temple burnt completely. Household items, furniture, and other essential items could not be saved.
Although the cause of the fire is not known, the police suspected that the fire was spread from a short circuit.
