AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Based on secret information of Black marketing on edible oil, SDM raided at Saha Hardware and Caring Center godown in Aralia Shantipara area, and recovered huge amounts of edible oil.

According to details it is known, after receiving secret information of illegal trafficking of huge amounts of edible oil, SDM raided at Saha Hardware and Caring Center in Aralia Shantipara area and recovered huge amounts of edible oil from being trafficked. The raid was conducted under the leadership of East PS, OC including Sadar SDM. In this illegal trafficking the vehicles were seized but police could not trace the owner behind this edible oil trafficking. Though, the godown owner, Somnath Roy Chowdhury could not show any legal documents of agreement related to godown rent.

On one side the rate of increasing Covid infection rapidly in the state, and taking advantage of this pandemic situation, some unscrupulous traders in the city are continuing black marketing on essential commodities.

However, the Sadar SDM could not declare the seized edible oil market price, but strong legal action will be taken if the owner is unable to show proper valid documents.
