AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): Former Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman has taken a dig at the State Govt and specially Minister Ratanlal Nath for generating panic in state Tripura by declaring "Black Fungus" already arrived in Tripura based on a private hospital's report and said a 68 years old woman is infected by it. The BJP MLA also has raised questions about testing labs' proper utilization as the state is depending upon ILS like private hospitals. In a social media post, Sudip Barman said, "I strongly object to the validity of the state government announcement of finding Black fungus virus in a patient admitted in ILS hospital. How come the government could come out with a statement in this regard based on the finding of ILS lab report. Why was it not confirmed by the government micro biology department at AGMC".Â
The former Health Minister also clearly mentioned that once this disease will be announced as epidemic, then the State Govt will get massive financial help for this disease but based on a private hospital lab, how can a Govt confirm a deadly disease ?
