AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): At the initiative of a famous computer teacher of Agartala, Mrs. Jaya Deb, People Relief Volunteers distributed food and other necessary items to the unprivileged section of the society residing in the Containment Zone area.

Besieged by Covid-19 infections, financially struck low by the lockdown, and turned into a containment zone, a fair number of people in the state are now struggling to keep hunger at bay.

"The daily wage earners cannot go to work for so long means they are running out of money and hence cannot buy food. As a part of the society, I thought of doing something for people collaborating with the People Relief Volunteers and hence decided to pool some resources. I also want to urge the people of the city to reach out to the people who are in need and help them with at least basic food supplies", the teacher said.
