AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): A delegation from the CPI-M South District Committee handed over a deputation with 6-point demand to Dr. Jagdish Nama, the Chief Medical Officer, South District, demanding necessary action in the Corona situation.
The delegation included Basudeb Majumder, secretary of the party's southern district committee, Tapas Dutta, secretary of the sub-divisional committee, and MLA Sudhan Das, secretary of the state committee of the Scheduled Caste Coordination Committee.
Their demands included,
To bring all people under the COVID vaccination process and complete the vaccination process Soon identification of COVID positive patients through area-based COVID testing and arrange for their isolation.
To fully bear the responsibility of treating and feeding the patients suffering from the deadly virus.
Demand for fixed prices by the government to stop the black market of medicines and necessary medical equipment to deal with the virus.
The delegation held a lengthy discussion with the District Chief Health Officer while handing over the six-point demand memorandum.
