AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Suprib Tripura, accused of the murder of two siblings in Gabtali area under Bilonia Rajnagar PR Bari police station, was taken to Bilonia Sessions and produced before the District Court on Friday.
After taking the case under Section 302/201 of the Indian Penal Code the court judge remanded him in custody till May 16. Meanwhile, the accused confessed before the police that he went to rescue his sister after seeing the siblings doing bad deeds with her. Suprib first strangled the boy by wrapping a towel around his neck and then suffocated his sister and threw them in a forest pond.
On Thursday from a same family two brothers and sister went missing and after a long search by villagers the dead bodies of two brothers and sister were recovered from a water body in deep forest at in Gabtali area, under Rajnagar block, Belonia. Later out of Suspicion a young boy named, Sugrib Tripura was taken to the PR bari PS based on murder allegation after rape of local villagers as scratches found in his body.
Later, Sugrib Tripura confessed in front of media that he killed the duo that, while he was raping the minor girl, Rita (11), her brother, Hridoy(13) seeing his sister being raped he went to save her. Then Sugrib Tripura killed Rita’s brother, Hridoy by strangling with a towel, and similarly Rita was killed and had thrown away both the bodies in water bodies of deep forest. On Friday, PR bari police took the accused, Sugrib, of duo murders to Bilonia Sessions and District Court. A case has been registered under Section 302/201 of the Indian Penal Code against the criminal, Sugrib Tripura in connection with murder of brother and sister, and will be remanded in Police custody till May 17.
