AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): CPIM East Agartala Region Committee staged a protest before Dhaleswar power office adjacent to the Banamalipur Lal Bahadur Club today condemning the daily power-cut problems in the state.
Addressing the media, the protestors said, “Since the BJP government came to power in our state, people have been confused in all aspects. All the promises they made before the election turned out to fake. During the left era, the power-related problems were negligible and our state then used to supply power to the neighboring cities. But now during BJP’s tenure, we are facing a lot of troubles due to frequent power cuts. COVID patients who are kept in home isolation are facing difficulties. They are unable to take oxygen supply on time due to unnecessary load shedding.”
"Condemning such inhuman acts of the ruling party we are appealing to the government to provide us our basic service without any excess interruptions" they added.
