DHARMANAGAR, May 13 (TIWN): With the rate of corona infection increasing in the state and taking advantage of this pandemic, some unscrupulous traders in the city are continuing to increase the prices of daily necessities.
Eventually, Dharmanagar sub-divisional magistrate Kamlesh Dhar and sub-divisional food department, and Dharmanagar Pur Parishad staff raided various shops in the Dharmanagar market. During the operation, the SDM instructed each trader to sell the goods at fixed prices and to post the daily stock list of the shops. During the operation, many expired items were confiscated from several shops. The SDM asserted that all the shops from which expired items were found would be listed and fined as per the law.
He further said that such operations would be carried out daily and action would be taken against the unscrupulous traders who planned to fill their pockets in times of misery.
