AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): The process of vaccinating people aged 45 and above has been going on for a long time in Tripura. Journalists who are working in Belonia received the COVID vaccine at Belonia Sub-division Hospital on Wednesday. As the doctors, nurses, policemen and journalists were also considered as front line fighters, the journalists were vaccinated on the initiative of Dr. Jagdish Namah, the Chief Health Officer of the South District.
Snehashis Chakraborty, president of the Belonia Press Club, vaccinated self and encouraged other journalists to get vaccinated. A senior journalist, Tapas Majumder was also present to encourage junior journalists to take part in the vaccination programme.
Journalists Ashok Das Gupta, Biswajit Das, Rocky Pal, Somnath Udas, Sumon Dutt Gupta, Pratap Debbarma, Litan Chakraborty, Futon Chakraborty and many others received the vaccine.
