AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): Today, a 4-member delegation on behalf of the CPI(M), Tripura State Committee met Governor of Tripura to apprise him about the savage attack carried out on the Opposition legislature Team led by Manik Sarkar, Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister of the state.

The delegation members were Narayan Kar, Rama Das, Naresh Jamatia and Radhacharan Debbarma, all State Secretariat Members. They submitted a written Memorandum.
The Governor gave a patient hearing from the delegate members. Lastly, he assured that; 
1. From tomorrow onwards, all the political parties shall  have the right to exercise their own political programmes without any hindrance. It is their constitutional right which nobody can deny.
2. He would call on the Chief Minister of the state, Director General of Police and also the state President of the ruling BJP today itself to discuss about this incident.
3. He would also talk to the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of South Tripura about the incident.
4. He assured the delegate members to rest assured, there will be no political violence in the state from tomorrow.
Being asked by the delegates, whether they should make his assurances  in public, the Governor answered affirmatively.
