AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): No social distancing was maintained between 45+ citizens, who came to vaccinate for the second dose of Corona vaccine. Question is being raised over the role of Panchayat authorities including the Health Department. Such a scene was noticed in Udaipur West Khilpara Vill Panchayat area on Monday.
It has seen amid the spread of COVID-19 in Tripura there was no social distance maintained among the COVID-19 vaccine recipients in Udaipur West Khilpara Gram Panchayat.
However, an MPW said she had repeatedly requested the vaccine recipients to maintain Social distance but due to lack of awareness among vaccine recipients no social distance was maintained. Also it has seen some of the Vaccine recipients were without masks and some of them did not wear masks properly which may spread the deadly virus quickly. If the common people are not aware of the danger of 2nd wave of deadly virus then COVID would gulp people soon.
The MPW(Medical Peace Work) also said if more volunteers and local Panchayat authorities would co-operate then this vaccination camp could have been done better.
The question has arisen on the role of Panchayat authorities including the Health Department.
