AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): On being recorded with a low positivity rate, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has appreciated the people of South Tripura District for low positivity rate there and said, "I think, this rate will be carried out by the people of South Dist successfully". Total 243 cases are on record during the second wave of Covid in South Tripura. Two areas which were randomly checked by the Chief Minister was found below 1%. The statement came when Biplab Deb was visiting South Tripura District and Gomati Tripura District today. District magistrate Sailesh Yadav also accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit. New ICU beds also have been installed in South Dist Hospitals. Biplab Deb further told media that most of the Covid positivity cases increase happen due to trains' arrival and other states' people entering Tripura by flight and also road.

However, he assured that 100% testing of the arriving people is happening. 

Talking about Agartala Biplab Deb said that there are high positivity rate and in Pratapgarh 16% positivity rate and total 6 micro-containment zones have been marked there.
