AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): USA donated Oxygen concentrators' benefits have been received by Northeast States also. On Friday, total of 60 oxygen concentrators were brought from Guwahati to Agartala MBB Airport.
They were delivered by a dedicated team of Indian Airforce in their AN32 aircraft by Pilot is S K Bhattacharya and Mr Sahoo both Wing Commander of Indian Airforce.
This is the 3rd shipment from USA. Thanking USA after they arrived in India on May 2nd, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson tweeted, "Another flight from the USA arrives in India carrying over 1000 oxygen cylinders, regulators, and other medical equipment. Third shipment in a period of 2 days adding to our oxygen capacities. Grateful to the USA for its support......."
Earlier this week, President Joe Biden reaffirmed that the US is determined to support India in its efforts to contain the pandemic during the talks.
India's Covid cases - which have sparked a global concern - rose by a record 4,14,188 infections, taking the active caseload to 36,45,164; 3,915 people died in a day. Shortage of resources to tackle a deadly second wave remains big concern.
