AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): A housewife has committed suicide in Tripura after she was assaulted by a BJP local leaders.

Being assaulted by BJP local leaders in Open Meeting, housewife committed suicide in Tripura : 2 BJP leaders are Kamal Tripura, Sajal Tripura as per Victim's husband's statement

This incident took place at South Tripura Dist's Sabroom sub-division, Betagay.

The local members of the BJP held a meeting raising allegations against her character and cut her hair and also allegedly made her half-naked and then beat her up. 

The woman's personal videos were shown on the big screen in front of all the villagers which was made by force earlier by one of the accused, said husband of the victim. 

Out of insult, the woman has committed suicide.
