AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): Former West District Magistrate Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav is now transferred to South District.
Now in the Govt investigation committee, one retired District Judge will be also a member.
Today another hearing was in Tripura High Court which was filed on behalf of the marriage participants and organizers. In the first hearing, Tripura High Court had asked about all visual documents as per allegation but also mentioned about the COVID-19 crisis situation's seriousness.
Today after the High Court's hearing, Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma mentioned that Tripura Govt has already transferred him to Belonia.
The issue erupted after the then West DM Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav on 26th April raided a marriage function which was continuing amid Night Curfew, violating the time guidelines which was fixed till 10 PM for marriage halls, but the then DM stopped the whole marriage and used rough words against some of Govt officials and also the marriage participants. The reason behind his aggressive attitude was however shown in the Court by his advocate as the on-duty officials did not accomplish his duty.
However, for now, the State Govt formed team will continue the investigation under observation of retired justice and for now, Dr Shailesh Yadav is transferred.
