AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): The numbers of road mishaps are alarmingly increased in the state. Improper management of traffic dept leads accidents often at Rastarmatha Gokulnagar Road, under Bishalgarh PS. One seriously injured after hit by a vehicle.
The injured was identified as Nanigopal Debbarma, a resident of Bishramganj area and is also an employee of Sports Department. He was hit by a Tata car (TR01AL1920) while crossing the road at Rastarmatha area. Eyewitnesses informed the Bishalgarh fire Department on receiving news the fire dept. officials rushed to the spot and rescued the injured to Bishalgarh hospital.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses claimed that accidents have been occurring at Rastarmatha, Gokulnagar Road due to poor traffic system.
From local traders to passers-by requested several times to the concerned department to arrange the traffic system immediately at Rastarmatha but the authority remained silent, which leads to minor and major accidents.
