AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Amid much debates in social media, oppositions' attacks  about the effectiveness of  COVID-19-Night-Curfew, Police have said that they are going to implement this curfew very strictly because it's the rule now when COVID-19 has taken a serious turn and people must obey the rules and help the police. Talking to the media on Day 9 of Night Curfew, Sadar SDPO Ramesh Yadav said, "If the public violates protocols, then they will be detained by police. In this way, they are only inviting troubles for them and also creating problems for the police Dept''. 

Yesterday, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar extended the Night Curfew up to 31st Mau. As per the rule now - Corona night curfew imposed from 10 PM to 5 AM in Agartala Municipal Corporation area, will be extended up to 31st May,2o2l. Medical and other emergency needs and persons to maintain essential services like health, police, security, poWer supply, drinking water supply, media etc may be exempted. DM (West) will issue an order under section L44 CrPC with specific conditions for compliance. Wide publicity will be done of the order and strict enforcement measures will be taken.
