AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): A BSF Jawan named Palash Sarkar died at GB Hospital allegedly after not getting primary medical services at Gomati District Hospital. Even no oxygen mask was put on him amid respiratory problems, said relatives.
Family sources said Palash was seriously injured when a tree branch fell on him while he was cutting down a tree. Immediately after the incident his family took him to Gomati district hospital, but without any treatment at Gomati District hospital he was referred to GB hospital. But Palash left his last breath on the way before taken to GB hospital. At GB, the Doctors declared him dead.
Family alleged, the on duty Doctors at Udaipur district hospital did not put even an oxygen mask to Palash even after noticing his serious condition. The family said that he could be saved if the on duty hospital’s doctors treated him properly in his critical stage at Gomati district Hospital timely.
Doctor’s negligence is the only reason behind Palash’s death, alleged his family It is learned, Palash was a BSF of 111th Battalion, and his posting was in Nagaland, he came home at Udaipur, Palatana for spending vacation and he was supposed to return on 25th April.
