AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): Alleging post poll violence, Tripura BJP has boycotted TTAADC oath taking of the MDCs. TIPRA Motha on 10th April had bagged a landslide victory with 18 seats whereas BJP, IPFT jointly got 9 seats. Â
Elected members of the BJP party were not seen in the programme. Also, no party leader from BJP joined the ceremony.
IPFT leaders also skipped the programme but Minister Mebar Jamatia had attended the programme. Congress President Pijush Biswas attended the oath taking function. Again no leader from CPI-M party was spotted.
Reacting over BJP's boycotting of oath taking alleging post poll violence, Pradyot Manikya said that he does not want to go to any political fight with any party but he just wants to focus on development and the affected families will be compensated as per announcement.
Pradyot Manikya also confirms that the white paper will be implemented soon where funding and expenditure will be transparent.
